Children Received Tuition Assistance
In honor of our founder, the late Joan C. Peter, Specialty Family Foundation established the Joan C. Peter Memorial (JCP) Scholarship Program, a pilot program with the intention of laying the foundation of longstanding tuition assistance, spanning kindergarten through 12th grade, in the spirit of our commitment to at-risk children and families. It is in Joan’s vision – an obligation to break the cycle of addiction and poverty through investments in substance use intervention, prevention, and treatment for the whole family – that SFF is dedicated to making a Catholic education possible for the program’s 14 children from 4 impoverished families who’ve struggled with substance use issues. To date, the JCP Program has invested a total of $368K and remains committed to the current families participating in the program.
