To help expand the reach of Partners for Children South Los Angeles (PCSLA), we invested $100,000/year for three years to launch and support its Faith-Based Family and Early Childhood Advocacy Project. This unique collaboration helps children and families in three LA County parishes receive coordinated healthcare, social services, and childhood and parent education, as well as Catholic education offered through a network of 33 partner agencies. Since the project’s launch in 2018, over 204 families have accessed 459 services that help them find a pathway out of poverty.
An estimated 28.3% of children in LA are living below the poverty line, with limited access to the vital services they need to thrive.* Our collaboration with PCSLA is working to connect LA’s most underserved and vulnerable families with children ages 0 to 5 to quality healthcare, early education, and family support services essential to breaking the cycle of poverty.
